Crochet Projects “Dump”

The pregnancy has been going well, but I’m still trying to take it easy and help prevent high blood pressure. What better way to relax then working on crochet projects! My fingers have been flying through as many projects as I can crank out. I’ve only just started slowing down as I am experiencing some pain in my hands (believed to be a result of sleeping funny on my arms).

All of the photos I post are completed projects and I have tried to include the link of where to find/purchase the patterns. I do tend to put my own little twists/changes with almost any pattern I work with (i.e. crochet “buttons” instead of real ones).

First up: Hats

Newsboys Hat - Roy

I also did a light blue hat with a white beard and a teal hat with a brown beard, but I forgot to take pictures before I delivered them!

Maggie Newsboys Hat - Mandy

And some amigurumi:

Disney Princesses - Danielle Group

Rapunzel, Elsa, Jasmine, Ariel, and Belle

Again, I do make some minor changes when I work with certain patterns. The original patterns are credited to each creator and I do not distribute these patterns or claim them as my own.

There are plenty more projects coming since Christmas is so soon. I’m working on as many orders and presents as I can!

Last night I finished trimming and hiding the ends of the scarf I was making for a coworker. He is a big Jets fan so I found yarn to match their team colors! And look! More waffle stitching!!

The scarf for my coworker is almost finished! Ironically, the yarn I’m using is called “Spartans” after Michigan State sports team. This scarf however is meant for a Jets fan!

I think I have an obsession with the waffle stitch…

Freezing!

This doesn’t happen too often… New Jersey was almost as cold as Michigan!
_______________

Between the snow storm yesterday and the work I did on lunch and after work today, the baby blanket is done! I am so relieved to have this blanket finished! Once I’m able to give it to the person that it’s meant for that I’ll post pictures of it.
And while I had it at work several coworkers asked if I would be able to make them blankets as well! Looks like I’ll be crocheting a lot between now and my wedding day! 🙂

A heavenly birthday

Happy heavenly birthday today, mom!

Today you would have turned 62,
but instead you get to celebrate eternity with God!
I miss you often and love you still.

Thank you mom for teaching me how to crochet all those years ago.

It has come in quite handy to pass the time with this cold weather we’ve been having lately.
I’ve all but finished the baby blanket I started on Thursday night.
But that is a secret little project that can’t be shown in public yet!

Then when one blanket is finished, another will begin!
So many 2014 babies coming!
